Assumption College announces 2009 Men's Lacrosse Schedule

WORCESTER, Mass. --- Assumption College first-year head coach MEL MC KEE has announced the team schedule for the upcoming season.

The Greyhounds, a member of the N.C.A.A. Division II competitive Northeast-10 Conference, will open the season at L.I.U.-C.W. Post on Saturday, February 28. The Pioneers were ranked No. 4 in the last 2008 USILA Coaches poll.

The 15-game schedule includes seven home games beginning with crosstown N.C.A.A. Division III rival Anna Maria College on Wednesday, March 18 at 7 p.m.---the Greyhounds' only home night game of the season.

The Northeast-10 Conference, which also includes No. 9 Merrimack and No. 1 Le Moyne Colleges, will hold its postseason playoffs April 28, May 1 and May 3. The winner receives an automatic berth in the N.C.A.A. Division II regional tournament.
