SPRINGFIELD, Mass. --- Junior attack KEVIN KLASKIN (Norfolk, MA/Xaverian) scored five goals and added five assists to lead Assumption College past American International College, 17-8, in Northeast 10 Conference men's lacrosse action here SATURDAY.
It is just the fifth time in Greyhounds history that a player has scored 10 points in a single game. Klaskin also moved into fourth-place on the career scoring list with 42-52--94 points. It was the third time in his career that he has had five assists in a single game. (see lists below)

Freshman attack TIM ROY (Avon, CT/Avon) finished with a career- and season-best four goals and an assist, while sophomore attack JOHN MURPHY (Walpole, MA/Walpole) had two goals (1 assist) and sophomore attack NICHOLAS VIOLANDI (Duxbury, MA/Duxbury) had two goals (1 assist). Also in the scoring column were senior attack KEVIN JURGENS (Needham, MA/Needham), freshman midfielder THOMAS GUIDO (Manorville, NY/Eastport South Manor) and freshman midfielder CHRIS NOYES (Tewksbury, MA/Central Catholic).
Freshman attack NICHOLAS BRETT (Louden, NH/Merrimack Valley) had three goals and sophomore attack AARON MC NAB (West Springfield, MA/West Springfield) two goals and two assists to lead the Yellow Jackets offense.
Yellow Jackets sophomore goalkeeper MARK TAYLOR (North Andover, MA/North Andover) made 18 saves for American International, while junior keeper DAN SHEA (Wrentham, MA/King Philip) (57:14) made five saves and sophomore SCOTT VOGEL (Powell, OH/Olentangy-Liberty) (2:46) had two for the Greyhounds.
The Greyhounds held a solid 46-26 advantage in shots and led 55-34 in ground balls. Noyes had a career-high 14 ground balls, while Shea added nine.
Assumption is now 4-5 on the season and 2-3 in the Northeast-10 Conference, while American International is now 0-6 overall and 0-3 in the conference.
The Greyhounds are next in action SUNDAY at the Multi-Sport Stadium when they host non-conference rival Briarcliffe College (Bethpage, NY) at 1:30 p.m.
