SPRINGFIELD, Mass. --- Senior second baseman MIKE BAILLARGEON (Worcester, MA/Holy Name) had three hits and four RBI and sophomore righthander ZACH JACQUES (Jefferson, MA/Saint John's) pitched six innings of three-hit shutout ball as Assumption College defeated American International College, 9-0, in Northeast-10 Conference baseball THURSDAY.

The win was the fifth straight for the streaking Greyhoounds, now 27 16-1 overall and 18-8-1 (second place) in the conference. The last time the team won 27 games was 1993 when they finished 27-11.

Junior outfielder DEREK MIGRANTS (Ayer, MA/Ayer) got the Greyhounds off-and-running in the first inning blasting his seventh home run of the season for a quick 1-0 advantage. An error plated another run in the second inning and Baillargeon singled across a third in the fourth inning.

Freshman catcher MIKE FOLEY (Worcester, MA/Saint John's) singled across two more in a three-run sixth inning (Baillargeon also had an RBI single), while Baillargeon singled across two more in a three-run seventh.
