Greyhounds Lauren Matysiak named Northeast-10 Conference Goalie-of-the-Year

WORCESTER, Mass. --- Assumption College senior goalkeeper/captain LAUREN MATYSIAK (Holden, MA/Wachusett) has capped off her brilliant career by being named the Northeast-10 Conference Goalkeeper-of the-Year for the third time in her illustrious career.
Matysiak, who owns the Greyhounds' record book, finished with 76 games (first), 6,970 minutes (first), 0.93 goals-against average (first), 39 wins (first) and 31 shutouts (first). Her 308 saves are fourth-best in Hounds' history.
This past season her 1.16 goals-against average in 16 games was among the conference leaders. She also had 85 saves and four shutouts.
She was named a first-team all-star for the third time (2004, 05, 07).
Sophomore defender KELLEY DEWALT (Londonderry, NH/Londonderry) (1 goal, 2 points) of the women's team earned third-team honors.
