NEW HAVEN, Conn. --- Sophomore outside hitter JESSICA HALLER (Meriden, CT/Maloney) and junior outside hitter JENNA COSTIN (Lynnfield, MA/Lynnfield) each had a career-high 20 kills as Assumption College escaped Southern Connecticut, 3-1, in a grueling Northeast-10 Conference women's volleyball match FRIDAY at the Pelz Gymnasium.

The Greyhounds, in a push for their first postseason appearance since 2001, are now 11-5 overall and 4-4 in conference play. Southern Connecticut is now 9-15 and 2-6. Assumption prevailed 30-26, 30-28, 29 31 and 30-26 in the four-game match.
