WORCESTER, Mass. --- Assumption College senior women's volleyball captain LAUREN RASWYCK (Litchfield, NH/Campbell) has been selected the Northeast-10 Conference Libero-of-the-Year in a vote by the league's coaches. She also earned second-team all-conference honors. Raswyck earned third-team all-conference honors in 2007.
Raswyck, the Greyhounds' career leader with 1,930 digs led the team to a 13-11 overall record, the first winning season since the 2000 team finished 14-13. The Hounds under the direction of first-year Coach GARY PATCH finished one game shy of qualifying for the Northeast-10 Conference playoffs. The Greyhounds won the Worcester City Championship for the ninth time and extended their win streak to 16 straight in the tournament. This past season Raswyck made 24 starts in 24 matches averaging 6.21 digs which led the conference. She set a team record with 53 digs in a 3-2 win over Saint Anselm (9/4/07) and earned conference Libero-of-the-Week three times and earned weekly honor roll plaudits twice. She also owns the second- and third-best match totals with 46 against Saint Michael's (10-14-06) and 45 against Felician, NJ (9-1-07). She was named to the all-tournament team of the Assumption College Tip-Off Tournament and to the second-team conference all-academic team. She led the team in digs as a freshman in 2004 (335), finished third in 2005 (381) and led the team and the Northeast 10 Conference with 649 and 565 the past two seasons. Those season totals are the second- and third-best in Hounds' history. CLICK HERE FOR LAUREN RASWYCK'S CAREER STATISTICS |
