Donahue, Guy Named to Academic All-Conference Teams

Easton, Mass. -- Assumption College men’s basketball senior Kevin Donahue (Pawcatuck, Conn./Stonington) and women’s swimmer Amanda Guy (Lakeville, Mass./Apponequet) have been honored as members of the 2012 Northeast-10 Winter Academic All-Conference Teams. Nominees must be at least a sophomore, be a significant contributor on their teams and hold a cumulative GPA of 3.3 or higher.

Donahue, a CoSIDA First Team Academic All-District honoree, led the team in scoring this season with 16.3 points per game to rank sixth in the Northeast-10 in scoring. He was second in the Northeast-10 in three-pointers made with 80 and third in total points with 455. For his efforts on the court, Donahue was honored as a Northeast-10 Second Team All-Conference selection. Academically, Donahue is a History/Education double major with a 3.42 cumulative GPA. He received the 2011 Fall Assumption College Student-Athlete Director’s Citation for a GPA of 3.5 or higher and is a six-time member of the Assumption College Student-Athlete Honor Roll.

Guy boasts a 3.95 cumulative GPA and is a marketing major at Assumption. She has earned the Assumption College Premier Student-Athlete Award in the Spring 2010 and 2011 semesters for a perfect 4.0 GPA, along with earned the Assumption College Student-Athlete Director’s Citation three times for a GPA of 3.5 or higher. In the pool, Guy placed fifth at the New England Invitational in the 1000 freestyle in a time of 11:30.38. She was also fourth in the 200 free and the 500 free at the Worcester City Championships, along with fifth in the 50 free in that meet.
