Easton, Mass. (July 18) -- The Northeast-10 Conference has announced the members of the Spring 2012 Commissioner's Honor Roll. Assumption College has 186 student-athletes that have been named to the Honor Roll, the sixth-highest total amongst the 16 member institutions. A total of 2,899 student-athletes, representing each of the conference's 16 member institutions, are included on this semester's list. This spring’s list represents 50 percent of all student-athletes in Northeast-10 sponsored sports.
The honor roll recognizes student-athletes from each of the conference's 16 institutions for their success in the classroom. Of the 2,899 student-athletes receiving the honor, 137 of them have a 4.0 grade point average. The 107 represents an increase of 30 more student-athletes achieving this accomplishment then did during the Fall 2011 semester.
Of the 186 Assumption student-athletes honored, 122 of them had a grade point average of between 3.0-3.49, while 58 were between a 3.5-3.99. In addition, six student-athletes recorded a perfect 4.0 grade point average for the Spring 2012 semester. The Assumption football team had 23 members of the Honor Roll, the most among the 23 intercollegiate teams at Assumption. The men’s ice hockey team had 18 honorees, the highest amongst the six hockey-playing institutions in the league.
