PERSONAL: born in Benin, Nigeria . . . also coached at Worcester State Coach with Al Halper and at Babson College . . . was ranked fourth in the Adidas Gold Spike Series (2003) . . . ranked No. 2 in Nigeria (2003) in the 60-meter event . . . ranked No. 1 in Nigeria (2003) in the 200-meter event . . . best personal times: 55-meters (6.29), 60-meters (6.73), 200-meters (indoor, 21.24; outdoor, 20.67), 100-meters (10.31), 400-meters (47.96), long jump (21-00) . . . COLLEGE CAREER: six time all-American in the 55-meter, 100-meter and 200-meter events for coach Al Halper at Worcester State College . . . also named an all-New England an amazing 32 times . . . in 1999-00 he was undefeated against all Division III competition in both indoor and outdoor competition . . . ECAC Division III, MASCAC/Alliance champion in 55-meter, 200-meter for indoor season . . . finished fifth in the 55-meters at the N.C.A.A. Division III nationals earning all American honors . . . in outdoor season he finished first in the 100- and 200-meter events in the MASCAC/Alliance meet as well as the Division III and all-division New England meets . . . finished sixth in the N.C.A.A. Division III nationals in the 100 meter event and second in the 200-meter events to earn all-America honors in both . . . in 2000-01 he was was second in the N.C.A.A. Division III indoor nationals 55-meters (all-American) and fourth in the 100-meter and second in the 200-meter events in the outdoor nationals to again earn all-American status in both . . . named the N.C.A.A. New England indoor track Athlete-of-the-Year as a senior and was named the award for outdoor track in both his junior and senior seasons . . . he is the current Worcester State record holder in the 55-meters, 60-meters, 100-meters, 200-meters, 400-meter and 4x100 meter relay . . . named to the Worcester State College Athletic Hall of Fame (2006) . . . EDUCATION: earned Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science from Worcester State College (2001) and is employed by Allmerica Financial . . . earned Dean's List status and earned a cumulative GPA of over 3.0 . . . AFTER COLLEGE: placed on the IAAF World List where he was among the top 130 in the world |
