Alfonso Payne is in his first season with the Greyhounds after a starry career and subsequent three-year stretch as an assistant coach at Franklin Pierce University. He was a four-year letterwinner and team captain for the Ravens and assisted under Coach David Chadbourne Payne played both the No. 2 and No. 3 spots for the Ravens from 1998-2002. He capped his collegiate career with a career-best 21 points, as he drained four-of-seven three-pointers to go with seven rebounds in an Northeast-10 Conference playoff game against the College of Saint Rose. Prior to returning to Franklin Pierce, he worked two years for Dolce & Gabbana in Miami, FL following graduation. He played pro-am league basketball in his spare time in south Florida. A native of Boston, he received his bachelor's in sports and leisure service management in 2002. He is currently pursuing a master's in business administration in small business also at Franklin Pierce. |
