One of the premier players in the history of the sport at the College, TOM BRESCIANI was of the rare breed the combined both speed and power. Batting from the leadoff position, he worked his way to a .429 career average (the New England career leader at graduation), while hitting 16 homers and stealing 83 bases (in 85 attempts) for Coach Barry Glinski.

As a three-time all-New England performer, Bresciani batted .440 with 4 homers, 18 RBI and 27 steals in 1981 to lead the Greyhounds to the Northeast-7 Conference title (as its Player of the Year) after transferring from Westfield State College.

In 1982 he batted .358 with 6 homers, 16 RBI and 30 stolen bases leading the Greyhounds into the N.C.A.A. tournament; and as a post-graduate he led the nation in batting with a .515 mark, 6 homers, 25 RBI and 26 steals in just 21 games.

Originally a three-sport standout at Hopedale, MA High School he is now an adminsitirative assistant with Data General Corporation in Milford, MA and one of the area's outstanding boy's high school basketball officials.
