TOM BOURDON
Football
An standout cornerback for the Greyhounds' football program---for Coach Paul Cantiani---from 1976-79 TOM BOURDON earned all-New England Collegiate Football Conference honors three times and all-American status in both his junior and senior years.
He was the Most Valuable Player and captain of the 1979 team.
He finished his career with 272 tackles (138-134-272) in 36 starts with 10 interceptions---third on the Hounds' career list, 28 passes defended and 10 fumbles recovered. He owns the longest kickoff return for a touchdown---100 yards---in Hounds' history at the University of Lowell in 1978.
Also an outstanding student he was the first of now 14 football players to win the Rev. Armand Desautels, A.A. Memorial Award as the College's premier senior student-athlete in 1980.
He was graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry and did post-graduate work in Marketing at the University of New Haven and Georgia State University.
He is a member of the Atlanta Track Club men's masters team. He has qualified for the Boston Marathon and is the record holder for the men's masters mile relay.
He is currently the Vice-President, Sales Manager/Director of World Wide Marketing for Chemical Productions Corp., Atlanta, GA.
He married to the former Vicki Shaw '81, and they have three daughters, Shawna, Lindsey and Allison . . . and a grandson Ethan.
