CAROLYN CLANCY '82 Field Hockey One of the more versatile and athletic members of the College's field hockey teams. CAROLYN CLANCY played and started for four years . . . three years as a standout defender and one year (1980) as a forward.
Clancy played for Rita Castagna (1978, 1979) and Kathy Gibbons (1980, 1981). She was a member of the first class at the College to post a winning career record . . . the Hounds were 5-6-4, 6-4-5, 11-4-2 and 6-5-3 during her career . . . for a final mark of 28-19-14. The 1980 team lost a tough 2-1 decision in the final of the Massachusetts State Tournament to Tufts . . . the first post-season appearance by the Greyhounds. It proved to be the only year in which she did not play defense and her nine goals led the team in scoring. She finished her 60-game career with 15 goals, 4 assists for 34 points. She was graduated magna cum laude from the College in 1982 with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management and a minor in Mathematics. She also did a semester abroad at the University of Bath in Bath, England in 1981. She received her MBA from Babson College in 1989 'with distinction.' She is presently the Vice-President for Institutional Strategy and Market Development (since September 2002) for Fidelity Investments located in Marlboro, Massachusetts. She is also President of the Boston Alumni Club and a member of the President's Council Committee and Alumni Advisory Board. |
