The premier linebacker and most prolific tackler in Hounds' football history BILL GUILFOIL left an indelible mark on the program and a host of opponent ball carriers. He played for Hall of Fame Coach Bernie Gaughan from 1990-94.
He still holds the Hounds record for career (409) and season tackles (145), set in 1994. He also holds the career mark for tackles-for-loss (75) and pass pressures (77).
In a win over Western New England College (11/4/94), he finished with 21 total tackles including 14 initial contacts . . . one of three games in which he had 14 solo tackles! He holds the Hounds' mark for solos in a season (90) and career (275). He also had 22 career sacks with 10 in 1993 with a career best four vs. St. Peter's (10/30/93). He set the Hounds' mark for forced fumbles (6) in 1993.
He captained the team in 1993 and 1994. He is also one of just three players in Hounds' history to return a blocked extra-point attempt for a defensive conversion . . . vs. St. Peter's (10/30/93).
Named second-team all-Eastern Collegiate Football Conference in 1992, he earned first-team honors in both 1993 and 1994. He was an Associated Press second-team all-District selection in 1994.
He was graduated from the College in 1994 with a Bachelor of Arts in Politics with a minor in Communications and is currently working toward an MBA at the Arizona School of Real Estate and Business in Scottsdale, Arizona.
He is currently the Director of West Coast Operations for E Source Mortgage, Inc. stationed in Tempe, Arizona.
