The Assumption Way
combining the academic experience with athletic excellence

Since the first pitch back in 1912, Assumption College has been committed to the pursuit of academic excellence combined with athletic success. Our student-athletes are here to enjoy the experience and earn their degree in four years.

The success level has been extraordinary . . . a men’s basketball program that has dominated the region for half-a-century and a men’s tennis team that owns the last nine Northeast-10 Conference titles and regional appearances.

Over the years, the Greyhounds have sent the golf, cross country, softball, men and women’s basketball, men’s tennis, baseball, women's soccer and track teams on to N.C.A.A. post-season competition.

An amazing SIX Northeast-10 Conference Student-Athletes of the Year have worn the Assumption College blue & white . . . THIRTEEN N.C.A.A. post-graduate scholarships . . . THIRTY academic all-Americans . . . all proof that intelligent, well-schooled athletes succeed! In the last five years THIRTY-ONE student-athletes have earned all-America status.

And, now as the College continues to celebrate its centennial . . . 100 years of tradition-rich history . . . Athletics Director Ted Paulauskas ’67 brings a heightened enthusiam, a revitalization that permeates the entire campus.

Our students are justifiably excited about the Greyhounds . . . our alums are ready to once again become part of something special. We invite YOU--whether alum, parent, or good friend--to join with us.

And, nearly 50 percent of today’s student-athletes earned a 3.0 in the classroom last semester!

Athletics facility consultants in conjunction with College officials are in the process of reviewing current and future athletics facility needs. You can feel the excitement. We invite you to join us . . . with a Greyhound Club gift.

Greyhound Club gifts can be allocated to the athletics department enhancement fund--used for non-budgetal capital expenses or staff development--or the specific sport(s) of YOUR choice.
