WORCESTER, Mass. --- Postgraduate forward GREG TWOMEY (Groton, MA/Groton-Dunstable) scored a game-high 27 points to lead Assumption College (3 3, 2-2) to a come-from-behind 79-76 win over Le Moyne College (2-3, 2-2) in Northeast-10 Conference men's basketball action here SUNDAY.

Le Moyne jumped out to a 32-12 lead with 8:56 remaining in the first half behind the inside play of junior forward Laurence Ekperigin and perimeter shooting of freshman guard Christopher Johnson. Ekperigin tallied seven of the Dolphins' opening 10 points to put Le Moyne ahead 10-4 just 2:39 into the game. Entering the game with Le Moyne leading 14-8 (15:53 left), Johnson scored 15 of the next 18 points for the Dolphins to open up a game-best 20-point advantage.

Assumption closed out the half with a 21-10 run to cut Le Moyne's lead at the half. Twomey scored seven points in the span for Assumption, while freshman guard KEVIN DONAHUE (Pawcatuck, CT/Stonington) (9 points, 3 three-pointers) hit a pair of three-pointers.

After the Dolphins' Ekperigin made a dunk with 4:01 left the Dolphins led 40 22. Twomey converted a layin and sophomore forward TOBIN HAASE (Ridgefield, NJ/Ridgefield) made two free throws before Twomey made another layin off a fastbreak to cut the gap to 40-28.

Le Moyne's Johnson then converted a jumper from the wing before Haase made a move inside on a feed from senior forward/captain PATRICK SHEA (Salem, MA/Salem) (12 rebounds, 4 assists) and Donahue made a three-pointer from the top of the circle to made a nine-point game (42-33) at halftime.

After Ekperigin converted a layup in the paint for the Dolphins, Assumption scored 17 of the second half's next 19 points to take a 50-46 lead with 14:40 left.

Senior guard/captain MITCH BAJEMA (Whitinsville, MA/Whitinsville Christian) (13 points, 3 three-pointers) made a jumper off a sophomore forward MIKE BALDARELLI (Sutton, MA/Holy Name) (8 points, 4 rebounds) assist and then Baldarelli and sophomore center SAVOY FRAINE (Grenada Hills, CA/Grenada Hills) (14 points, 6 rebounds) made layups to cut the gap to five points (44-39). After LeMoyne freshman guard James Cormier (12 points, 7 assists) made a jumper in the paint the Greyhounds went on an 11-0 spurt to take command.

Twomey started with a move inside off a Baldarelli feed, then Bajema drilled a corner three-pointer followed by a pair of free throws by Shea to tie it 46-46 with 15:36 left. A dunk by Baldarelli and jumper by Fraine gave the Greyhounds a lead they would never relinquish, 50-46.
