MA/Franklin) was voted to the first team. He carries a 3.29 GPA as a Marketing
major. Just back in action in the last two weeks after foot surgery, Foti had
19 points to lead the Greyhounds to a 78-75 win at Southern Connecticut Saturday.

Junior forward GREG TWOMEY (Jr., Groton, MA/Groton Dunstable): averaged
19.5 points, making all 13 free throws attempted. Had 13 points at Merrimack.

Providence, RI/LaSalle) was voted to the first-team, while junior forward/center
MEGAN URBAN (Portland, ME/Deering) earned third-team honors. Paulson
carries a 3.86 GPA as a Biology major with a career in biotechnology in the
offing. She averages 6.3 as the Greyhounds starting point guard and is among
the conference leaders in assists. Urban, who averages 6.3 points and 3.6 rebounds,
has a 3.76 GPA as a Mathematics major (with an Education concentration) with
a career as a teacher/coach in the offing.

CONFERENCE, WORCESTER AREA FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
KAYLA PARKER (Fr., F/C, Sanford, ME/Sanford): averaged 17 points, shooting
60 percent (12-20 FG) from the floor, and 7.5 rebounds in a 1-1 week. In a win
over Merrimack, recorded a double-double with 22 points (8-15 FG) and 13 rebounds.
Tallied 12 points (4-5 FG), two rebounds, and three blocks at Stonehill.

CHARDE FLOYD (Jr., F, Worcester, MA/Worcester Academy): averaged 16 points,
14.5 rebounds, and 2.5 steals while shooting 54.2 percent (13-24 FG) from the
floor, in a 1-1 week. Scored 15 points and grabbed 18 rebounds along with two
steals in a victory over Merrimack. Recorded a double-double with 17 points
and 11 rebounds, along with three steals, at Stonehill. Also named to the Worcester Area Honor Roll.
BETHANY PLASSKI (So., G, Fall River, MA/Durfee): averaged 16 points (12-13

68 saves (.958 save pct), allowing three goals (1.44 GAA), and earned a shutout
in a 1-0-1 week. Made 29 saves for a shutout win over Worcester State. Recorded
39 saves, including three in overtime, in a tie with Curry. DiGiulio was also named the E.C.A.C. Northeast Goalie-of-the-Week.

Hound basketball standout CASEY CARNEY '01, who scored 1,699 points in
his career for the Greyhounds, will be formally inducted into the Bishop Feehan
High School (Attleboro, MA) Athletics Hall of Fame May 11. Carney is the career
scoring leader at the school.
BERNIE
GAUGHAN, Hounds Hall of Famer, and former football coach (1982-94), was
named to the MBCA High School baseball Hall of Fame recently (inducted last
Saturday). His teams have compiled an impressive 366-199 record since 1979 at
Clinton, MA High School.
KRISTIN
GAUVIN '05, who ran track for the Greyhounds (2002-04) is now a Los Angeles
Laker Girl. While at Assumption College, Gauvin majored in Business Management,
earning Dean's List honors and graduating cum laude. Drawing upon 17 years of
dance experience, she helped establish the College's first dance team. She was
a candidate for a Fulbright Scholarship during her senior year. Off-campus,
Gauvin was a member of the New England Patriots cheerleading squad, serving
as captain during the 2003 season and cheering at the 2004 Super Bowl. During
the same season, she was named the team's Cheerleader of the Year, which enabled
her to travel to the 2004 Pro Bowl with 24 of the NFL's best cheerleaders. She
was voted as the NFL Cheerleader of the Year in voting conducting on the nfl.com
website after the 2004 season. She was crowned Miss Massachusetts (2005) and
later competed for the Miss America title.

BIRD NAMED PRESEASON ALL-AMERICA: junior goalkeeper CHRIS BIRD has
been named to the second-team of the insidelacrosse.com preseason all-America
selections recently released. Bird posted a .625 save pct. last season in 14
games (839 minutes) with 225 saves. He was also named one of three captains
for 2007.
